Mistletoe Margarita: Fresh Non-Alcohol Christmas Drinks

The Mistletoe Margarita is a vibrant, zesty twist on a classic cocktail that brings festive cheer to your holiday gatherings. This refreshing drink is perfect for everyone, offering a delightful non-alcoholic alternative without sacrificing flavor.

Ingredients

  • 100% cranberry juice – 2.5 oz (75ml)
  • Fresh lime juice – 1.5 oz (45ml)
  • Non-alcoholic agave spirit alternative – 2 oz (60ml)
  • Non-alcoholic orange liqueur alternative (or orange syrup) – 0.75 oz (22ml)
  • Simple syrup – 0.5 oz (15ml)
  • Rosemary sprigs – for garnish
  • Sugared cranberries – for garnish
  • Salt/Sugar for the rim

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Glass: First, grab your favorite margarita or coupé glass. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass to moisten it. On a small plate, spread out your salt-sugar mix (or just salt/sugar). Gently invert the glass and dip the rim into the mixture, twisting to coat evenly. Set aside.
  2. Combine Ingredients in Shaker: In a cocktail shaker, combine 2.5 oz (75ml) of 100% cranberry juice, 1.5 oz (45ml) of fresh lime juice, 2 oz (60ml) of your non-alcoholic agave spirit alternative, 0.75 oz (22ml) of non-alcoholic orange liqueur alternative (or orange syrup), and 0.5 oz (15ml) of simple syrup.
  3. Add Ice and Shake: Fill your shaker about two-thirds full with ice. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. You want the mixture to be thoroughly chilled and slightly frothy.
  4. Strain and Serve: Fill your prepared rimmed glass with fresh ice. Remove the lid from your shaker and use a fine-mesh strainer to pour the chilled Mistletoe Margarita into your glass.
  5. Garnish with Festive Flair: Finish your masterpiece with a sprig of fresh rosemary and a few sugared cranberries. Place the rosemary sprig upright in the glass or lay it across the rim, and let the sugared cranberries float or skewer them on a cocktail pick.

Keywords: Consider batching for a crowd by preparing a larger mixture in advance. Adjust sweetness and tartness to your preference, and for an alcoholic version, substitute the non-alcoholic agave spirit with silver tequila.
