Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Zest
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin (Optional)
  • 1 pound Chicken Tenders
  • Fresh Parsley or Dill (Optional, for color and freshness)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup of Plain Greek Yogurt, 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil, and 2 tablespoons of Fresh Lemon Juice. Whisk until smooth and well-blended, about 1 minute. Ensure there are no lumps from the yogurt.
  2. Add in 1 tablespoon of Lemon Zest, 3 minced cloves of Garlic, 2 teaspoons of Dried Oregano, 1 teaspoon of Salt, 1 teaspoon of Black Pepper, and 1 teaspoon of Ground Cumin (if using). Stir the mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly combined, which should take about 30 seconds. It should have a creamy consistency.
  3. Add 1 pound of Chicken Tenders to the marinade. Make sure each piece is well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the mixture to a resealable bag. Let the chicken marinate in the fridge for at least 20 minutes, but if you have time, 1 to 2 hours is even better for deeper flavor.
  4. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray. This will prevent the chicken from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Arrange the tenders in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Avoid overcrowding, as this can lead to steaming instead of roasting. If you see any large clumps of marinade, brush them off gently.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). You’ll know it's ready when the edges are golden and the center is no longer pink. Avoid opening the oven door too frequently, as this can cause temperature fluctuations.
  7. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring each bite is juicy and tender.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill for an added touch of color and freshness before serving. Enjoy your Greek Chicken Tenders hot!
