Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1 cup of cranberry sauce
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (to taste)
  • 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares, about 3 inches by 3 inches, yielding about 12 squares.
  3. Place each square of puff pastry into a greased muffin tin, gently pressing down to form cups.
  4. Spoon a small amount of cranberry sauce into the bottom of each pastry cup.
  5. Cut small pieces of Brie cheese and place them on top of the cranberry sauce.
  6. Sprinkle a pinch of fresh herbs over the cheese.
  7. Fold the corners of the puff pastry squares over the cheese and cranberries, creating a little bundle.
  8. Brush the tops of the pastry with the egg wash to give them a golden color when baked.
  9. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  10. Once out of the oven, let the bites cool for a few minutes before serving warm.
