Peach Lemonade Recipe: Sweet & Tangy Summer Refresher

This Peach Lemonade is a vibrant, sweet, and tangy symphony in a glass that perfectly balances the juicy sweetness of fresh peaches with the bright tang of lemons. It’s an easy-to-make gourmet beverage that will impress your friends and family on warm days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 cups fresh peaches, chopped
  • 1 to 1.5 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water (for simple syrup)
  • 45 cups filtered water (to fill the pitcher)
  • Optional: lemon zest (1-2 teaspoons)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Peaches: If using fresh peaches, wash them thoroughly. You can blanch them in boiling water for 30-60 seconds and then transfer them to an ice bath to easily remove the skins, or simply leave the skins on for a more rustic lemonade. Pit the peaches and roughly chop them into chunks. If using frozen peaches, thaw them slightly first.
  2. Create the Peach Puree: Place the chopped peaches into a blender. Add about half a cup of water to help with blending. Blend until completely smooth. If you prefer a pulp-free lemonade, pass the peach puree through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a separate bowl, pressing to extract all the liquid.
  3. Squeeze Your Lemons: Juice enough fresh lemons to yield about 1 to 1.5 cups of fresh lemon juice, depending on how tart you like your lemonade. Remove any seeds.
  4. Make the Simple Syrup (Recommended): In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
  5. Combine Your Ingredients: In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, fresh lemon juice, and peach puree. Add enough cold filtered water to fill the pitcher, usually about 4-5 cups.
  6. Stir and Taste: Stir everything together thoroughly until well combined. Taste it and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed.
  7. Chill Thoroughly: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate your Peach Lemonade for at least 2-4 hours, or preferably overnight.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: When ready to serve, give the pitcher a good stir. Pour over ice in tall glasses and garnish with fresh peach slices, lemon wedges, or a sprig of mint.
